Abstract

The inclusion of women in management bodies has been an issue that continues to present challenges for companies, despite the fact that current regulations encourage their inclusion. The objective of the research presented in this article was to identify the degree of gender diversity in management bodies, specifically the Boards of Directors (BoD) and Senior Management (SM) of the companies in the CPI 2018 of the Mexican Stock Exchange. The variables analyzed were management profile and gender diversity (Blau and Teachman indices) in BoD and SM. With a descriptive statistical analysis and contrast of means it was possible to identify that there are significant differences (p=0.05) for the diversity index in both governing bodies, especially between economic sectors of the companies.
