Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze education returns of some occupations in the primary sector of the Colombian economy between 2009 and 2013. A quantitative methodology was used. Mincer equations and Heckman method were used to correct the skewing of GEIH (Great Integrated Household Survey) DANE data. The main conclusions were the gender segregation and a negative trend in the results of the education returns to selected occupations, which is in line with the Colombian economy slowdown over the considered period.
