Abstract

From the 90 economies of the world, among them the Latin American, began commercial integration as part of an economic development model based on the exploitation of economies of scale, similar cultural patterns, shorter distances and industrial complementarity, among other benefits. In this context, the article analyzes the trade intensity, the development of comparative advantages and the relationship with economic growth in intraregional trade derivative, for the countries of the Andean Community of Nations (CAN) confirmed by Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru in the period 1990-2010.
