Discusión sobre política pública, desarrollo, empoderamiento y participación social

Abstract

The present article approaches the development and public policy concepts, and the topics of empowerment and social participation. The debates around the question of development are quite wide at the academic and political scenarios as a consequence of implications that the discussion has in the political action strategy for each country. Government and international institutions, along with a growing civil society participation, adopt “new formulas” to confront economic problems and social challenges of the contemporary world. The argument is based on the theoretical line studies around the terms empowerment and social participation. That theoretical line is essential for reasoning the public policy.
