Abstract

This paper describes thinkers' posture on paradigms such as systems, complexity and autopoiesis, which contribute to the understanding of today's organizations. From the systems the organization is studied as a living entity in its interrelation element/relationship and system/environment. From the complexity the organization is understood within the context of disorder/order, uncertainty, the village and its capacity to self-organization and maintains itself in relation to its environment. From the autopoiesis and the assumptions of communication and decision, the organization is reasoned with the potential to create, produce and reproduce its own elements, by closing operationally to these purposes, with the aim of achieving stability against the environment, from its autopoiesis.
