Leadership: Considerations on its Conceptualization, Evolution and Challenges Facing The New Organizational Reality
Abstract
Since ancient times, leadership has been a source of fascination because of the power, influence and persuasion which characterize individuals who possess this ability. In organizations, leaders are the focus of attention, being value generators and promoters of business development, and therefore they have the commitment to train, foster and empower others to achieve organizational goals. Understanding the importance of the topic, this review article explores the concept of leadership, describes its changes regarding the evolution of administration, determines its perspective facing the challenges of the new organizational reality and serves as a starting point for structuring future research lines which will allow delving deeper into our knowledge of leadership.
