Impact of E-Commerce in the Municipality of Sogamoso (Boyacá-Colombia)

Abstract

E-commerce is undoubtedly one of the most important contributions to expedite and facilitate different transactions of commercial nature. This article seeks to identify the impact that e-commerce generates in the city of Sogamoso (Boyacá., Colombia), from the perspective of its inhabitants and entrepreneurs. The quantitative research technique was applied, using a finite population sampling; it was theoretically based on studies of both national and international organizations, and experts who contributed to the development of the research. The results are very useful for entrepreneurs, academia, and institutions that promote knowledge and development of electronic commerce as a means to accomplish innovation and competitiveness.
